EAA863 had a great turnout on Saturday 4/30/22! Mild temperatures, blue skies, tasty breakfast options and amazing airplanes brought out a crowd to the Lebanon Airport. The results from the breakfast tally are in and 230 people were served! Continue reading and see photos from today’s event!
Good people
EAA863 had a great crowd of people today at the Lebanon Airport. Grills were fired up at 6am and hungry guests began arriving at 7. The east ramp was busy as airplanes flew in and were marshaled to their parking spots. Safety is the number one focus during these events. EAA863 and Direct Flight Solutions were on hand to keep an eye out. Outside the airport, parking was full as car after car began taking the available parking spots. Once inside the hangar, guests formed a line to grab a plate and enjoy breakfast. There were lots of options and from the looks of things, there were barely any leftovers.
Young Eagles
Around 945am a line started to form with eager-eyed youngsters looking to catch a flight in EAA863’s Young Eagles program. Registration began at 10A with many names. Unfortunately, due to the high winds forming at the airport, the decision was made not to fly the Young Eagles today. Names were kept on the list so that those who registered would be ready for next time.
Clean Up
Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end, and the breakfast event was no exception. Cleanup crews were busy cleaning dishes, wiping up tables, taking out trash and stacking chairs. All were done in an orderly fashion. The Sattler Hangar was once again spotless! EAA863 wishes to thank the Sattler Foundation for the generous use of their hangar.
Until Next Time, Blue Skies and Tail Winds
