Great Fly-in breakfast & Young Eagle rally

Calm winds, and blue skies prevailed on Saturday 10/29/22 as EAA836 hosted their last 5th Saturday breakfast for 2022. Outside the hangar, airplanes were buzzing overhead as they entered the pattern to land on 19 at M54. Amazing event

EAA863 had a great turnout for the last 2022 breakfast and fly-in. Over 200 people came out for the breakfast. The final total came in at 210 people and 61 Young Eagles were flown today. At one point, it was standing room only as the chairs for those waiting for their flight was full. EAA863’s Matt Loughney was busy checking in the eager eagles as they awaited their flight! Smiles, laughter and joy could be observed on the faces of the youthful pilots as they exited their craft upon landing; anxiously telling their friends and family about the experience. One lady yelled, “I got to fly it!” as she exited EAA863 Young Eagle Pilot Gary Soloway’s Grumman Tiger. Certainly, this is an experience that she will remember for a lifetime. EAA863’s hope is continuing to deliver the joys of aviation to those familiar with it and newbies alike.

EAA863 would like to thank all of our pilots, ground crew, chapter members, Direct Flight Solutions Staff, and everyone who made this event possible. Without your help and support, we would not be able to do this. Thank you!

Until next time, blue skies and tail winds
